The Falerii Novi Project was established in 2021 as a long-term joint excavation of the British School at Rome, Harvard University, and the University of Toronto, with the support of the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per la provincia di Viterbo e per l’Etruria Meridionale (see Partners). The project investigates aspects of commerce and trade through the excavation of the macellum, forum, tabernae, and a street frontage along the cardo maximus (via Amerina) inside the South Gate. Aspects of daily life and exchange are being investigated through the excavation of a domus on the southern side of the forum. More broadly, the project seeks chronological information to assist in addressing questions concerning the foundation and development of the city, the construction of the walls, and its later abandonment.

Those interested in participating should contact the directors.
